Desktop Pictures
I saw a picture on Internet and I want it as background!
Everything you see on Internet is downloaded on your computer. Mostly it stands under the directory
C:\WINDOWS\TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES\
in that directory you must find your picture. Almost all the pictures on Internet are in Jpg-format
because those pictures can be compressed(easier to download) at the cost of the quality of the
picture. If your picture is in Bmp-format you can copy it (or drag it) to C:\WINDOWS\ , then go
to START, CONFIGURATION(instellingen), CONFIGURATIONSCREEN(configuratiescherm)
and SCREEN(beeldscherm). There you can set the background. If the picture is in Jpg-format
you must read the text below.
From Jpg-format to Bmp-format.
This is not too complicated if you have the right program. This program is called IMAGING.
Start the program and open your picture(it cannot open in directory TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES).
Then you must save the picture with SAVE AS. Choose the directory where you want to save it and
choose a name. End the name with .BMP. If you saved it under the windows directory you can select it
as a background picture on your desktop.
